Meet Engine Thirsty-One

Meet The Owner

Steve LaRue joined the United States Air Force as a Fire Protection Specialist (3E7X1) in September 2001 and retired from the New York Air National Guard in September 2022. Steve has worked concurrently for Fort Drum Fire & Emergency Services since 2004. He has a strong passion for the military, the fire service, and of course, beer.

Steve wanted to combine his passions for family, friends, fire service, making memories, and good beer into something he could share with a broader group of people. Steve and Engine Thirsty-One have much more to offer after retiring from service. Whether you are having a wedding, retirement, corporate event, or backyard party, our goal is to infuse your celebration with the history and nostalgia of firefighting. We want to make your parties unique and bring a space where guests can drink, socialize, and experience a little bit of history because we are more than just serving beer. Let us fulfill our passion by helping you create lasting memories with your family, friends, and loved ones without worrying about the burden of shopping for, icing, and cleanup. We offer beer, wine, cider, and signature cocktails, served by bartenders and cleaned up by Fireman!

But we’re more than just a beer service. We’re here to help you create lasting memories with your family, friends, and loved ones
